Abstract
oThe objective of this paper is to investigate the development of mechanical engineering in ancient Egypt through the production of stone statues. This study covers the design and manufacturing of stone statues from the Predynastic Period (Naqada II) to the end of the Old Kingdom showing the type and characteristics of each statue. The decoration, inscriptions and beauty aspects of each statue were highlighted.
